Eastern Spirituality and Psychology

The Sat Yoga tradition is one that draws on the traditions of the East and West.  It brings them together in something known as Atmanology and Atmananalysis.  Atmanology is the study of the higher self--the part of the self that is a divine spark of Universal Mind, or God.  Atmanology explores how we as divine beings entered into these earthly vessels in order to work, live, and play in this physical (phenomenal) world.  It explores how we have limited ourselves and have lost control to the small ego that we developed to learn the rules of life.  It helps us understand that we have forgotten who we really are.  We are trapped thinking that we are the ego and that this is the only world.  Set yourself free from this world.  Hit the book tab below, or at the top of this page, and order now so you can be free from all of the false identifications, the false beliefs, and the images and fantasies that haunt you and control you during the most painful times in your life.  Get rid of depression, pain, social biases, and live in the bliss.  Living in the bliss is the natural condition of every human being.  Distant Corners in a Crowded Room will tell you how to reclaim your blissful existence.

You will realize that you can change your life and enter into what many religious traditions refer to as Sat Yuga, or the Kingdom of Heaven now, when you are alive.  There is no need to die to do it.  When you reach the state of satchitananda, enlightenment, or being born again you are free and the Golden Age has returned.  For all life is suffering for those who are unenlightened, but not for those who are awake--not for those who are the dreamer with the power to re-dream the dream.  "Who is the one with that power?" you may ask.  It is you.  It has been you all of the time.

Sat Yoga is  not a religion

The Sat Yoga tradition is not a religion, it is a wisdom tradition.  We learn to think, to feel, and to understand for ourselves in the wisdom traditions from the East and West.  The Sat Yoga Tradition follows the tradition of the Great Teacher Socrates where what is most important is to "Know Thyself."  Psychology focuses on knowing the smaller self.  It considers the self the ego and focuses on understanding that part of the self and then accepting the dog eat dog society in which we live and learning how to prosper in it and be satisfied.  It teaches us to be comfortable here, on earth.

Eastern Wisdom traditions and Sat Yoga help us to do the same things, but also help us transcend the ego and the smaller self by knowing the self that Socrates was talking about--the true Self.  It helps us recognize the tricks of the ego and how we are trapped in a set of fantasies and a barrage of signifiers that help keep us deceived into believing that we are who they say we are.  Knowing thyself frees oneself from the trap.  It springs us free of the cage that keeps us bound into a tight bundle of thoughts and ideas that present themselves as chatter whenever we try to quiten ourselves and meditate.

After we learn to let go of all of these thoughts and transform them and the ego into a healthy tool that we can use to interact with the world, we can move beyond the ego altogether from the rational to the trans-rational.  We will return to our natural form as limitless, beautiful divine beings who exist in an existence full of love.  We become creative beings who channel love to everyone as we understand, in our hearts, that we are truly the light of the world.  We can be free now.  We don't have to die.  Distant Corners in a Crowded Room will tell you why and how we have been trapped and give you step by step suggestions on how we, by using just about any religious tradition or spiritual practice, can be free.

Sometimes it seems that we are all like children in a first grade classroom forced to stand with our noses in the corner by a harsh, angry teacher. We feel alone and end up living in our fantasy worlds. All that is necessary is for us to dare to turn around and see all of the people who are also standing there. All that is necessary is for us to take the chance to turn around, look, and extend a helping hand to those who are trapped.  Distant Corners of a Crowded Room can help you free yourself so that you can eventually reach out and free others. This world is a world of joy and bliss when we have developed the internal power necessary to make it that way.  We can be creative agents of change by just helping other people pull their noses out ofthe courner, turn around and look at each other, and begin make connections as we change our "I", "You" relationships to "I", "Thou," and eventually "I" and "I."

Distant Corners in a Crowded Room is my latest book that not only describes the process that leads us into feeling alone, afraid and isolated; it tells us how we can do the inner-work necessary to free ourselves from feelings of self-hatred, prejudice, depression, and the need to be first all of the time, that exists on the subconscious level and influences our thoughts, actions and behavior. Distant Corners in a Crowded Room is a compilation of knowledge that includes cognitive-social learning and behavioral psychology, social psychology, systems analysis, multi-cultural and anti-oppression programming, practical spirituality, and Sat Yoga Atman-analysis and Transformational Studies.  To add this most informative book to your library or your resources for promoting healing for yourself or others, please click the picture of Distant Corners in a Crowded Room and follow the link.  You can order it now and change your life.
